Garrett headed to Dubai with Team USA for World Championships

Team USA and Garrett  are headed to Dubai this December for the World Short Course Championships from December 15-19. Since so many Texas swimmers made the team, University of Texas Coach Eddie Reese will serve as the U.S. Coach. It's always good news when your coach travels with the team.     Chefs Under Fire–cool competition with Garrett as emcee

    Garrett Weber-Gale hosts Austin Chefs Under Fire contestGarrett has a wonderful opportunity Monday night in Austin as he is the "celebrity" emcee for a very cool sounding cooking event, Chefs Under Fire. He's been studying and practicing all weekend. We will be sure to update here. Also check out the Chefs Under Fire Facebook page.

Here are the top three nominees for Tweet of the Week: Tweet #1 "My last dream: @the_real_shaq & I were @ a waterpark together then ended up @ some crazy club w tons of fine ladies...the rest is history" -Two-time Olympic swimming gold medalist Garrett Weber-Gale Tweet #2 "Did our own version of 'Mythbusters' today. It's confirmed: Disc golf discs can and will cut your face when they collide with it." -Olympic snowboarder Graham Watanabe, perhaps inspired by opening week of Jackass 3D. Tweet #3 "melted down in the am 3x20min skate interval..Then tore out the downstairs bathroom...then taught the dog to rollover..now hangin w'Wife D!" -Two-time Olympic Nordic combined medalist Bill Demong, describing a day that sounds nothing like any we've ever lived, given that we've never melted down in a skate interval (and don't really know what that entails), never torn out a bathroom (but would like to), don't own a dog and are not married (yet)." "And for that, we are appreciative."
